Moo Moo Mystery Round Checklist

Use this Round Checklist at the start of every Moo Moo Mystery session on Roblox. Moo Moo Mystery (formerly It MOOs) is a twelve-player social-deduction experience by Blοx Universe where one Cow hunts Researchers while Security tries to shoot the Cow. Rounds punish autopilot. This page splits each match into pre-round steps everyone should run, then mid-round steps keyed to the role you receive. Universal pre-round checklist (all roles)

Audio and communication

• Set Roblox master volume so footsteps and ability cues are audible.
• Decide whether you will use voice chat this session; if yes, test your mic and mute background noise.
• Agree with friends on callout vocabulary (“Cow seen,” “Security here,” “Need escort”) to avoid shouting conflicting directions mid-round.

Controls and camera

• Confirm movement, jump, interact, and ability keys match the Getting Started guide.
• On mobile, verify touch zones do not overlap; mis-taps waste Cow kills and Security shots.
• Set camera sensitivity low enough to track sudden chases around map corners from the Maps hub.

Map and loadout awareness

• Note the current map name when the lobby loads; swap to a mental route from god spots if you recognize the layout.
• Check whether an event or Update changed spawn zones since your last session.
• If you planned a Items or gamepass purchase, do it between rounds, not during role assignment.

Mindset

• Social-deduction rounds are short; one mistake does not define your session.
• Reporting suspicious behavior helps Security more than chat accusations without evidence.
• Scripts and exploits ruin games for others — stick to legitimate tools from the Tools hub.

Mid-round checklist — Researcher

Researchers win by surviving until the Cow is eliminated or time expires, while gathering information to help Security.

First thirty seconds

• Do not stack with every player at round start; spread so one Cow swing does not wipe the group.
• Identify who claimed Security; stay within sightline distance but not glued to them — the Cow may follow.
• Pick an escape loop with two exits (hall → room → hall) you practiced on this map.
• Listen for footstep direction and ability sounds; the Cow often reveals position before a strike.

Mid-round survival

• Break line of sight before you are cornered, not after the Cow is one step away.
• Use verticality and props from Maps to force the Cow to commit to a path.
• Share factual callouts (“Cow ran toward cafeteria”) instead of guessing names without proof.
• If Security escorts you, stay behind cover they can shoot over; do not body-block their aim.

Endgame

• When player count drops, stick with confirmed Security or a group with a clear sightline.
• Do not hero-chase the Cow unless Security is beside you with ammo remaining.
• If the Cow is down, stay alert until the round officially ends — some modes resolve late.

Mid-round checklist — Security

Security wins by eliminating the Cow while keeping Researchers alive long enough to identify suspicious behavior.

First thirty seconds

• Announce you are Security once; repeated claims dilute trust and help the Cow blend in.
• Position where you can see multiple lanes without exposing your back to a long hallway.
• Track who breaks formation early; note names mentally or with friends on voice.
• Confirm your weapon is ready per Getting Started — fumbling during the first contact loses the round.

Investigation phase

• Prioritize behavior over cosmetics; expensive skins do not prove innocence.
• Escort groups of Researchers through danger zones instead of chasing every noise alone.
• When you shoot, call the target so others do not assume you are the Cow.
• Avoid friendly fire panic; killing a Researcher hands the Cow a massive advantage.

Engagement phase

• Engage when you have line of sight and a name, not only a hunch from chat.
• If the Cow rushes you, back toward open space where Researchers can scatter rather than clump.
• After a successful elimination, hold position briefly to confirm no second threat before celebrating.

Mid-round checklist — Cow

The Cow wins by eliminating all Researchers (or achieving the mode’s elimination threshold) without being shot by Security.

First thirty seconds

• Pick a first target who is isolated or distracted, not the player hugging Security.
• Move through blind spots on your chosen map route; straight-line sprinting telegraphs intent.
• Fake Researcher behavior briefly if the lobby is chat-heavy — panic draws Security eyes to you.
• Plan your exit path before the first kill so Security cannot trap you in a dead end.

Hunting phase

• Chain kills on players cut off from the group, not in the middle of a crowd Security watches.
• Use sound bait: footsteps one direction, strike from another, especially on multi-level maps from Maps.
• Track Security reload or ability cooldowns if the game exposes them; strike when pressure drops.
• Do not chase one Researcher across the entire map if it exposes you to Security for ten seconds.

Endgame

• When numbers are low, split remaining Researchers instead of letting them bunker together.
• If Security is alive, force them to choose between guarding a group and chasing you.
• Never emote or chat-gloat mid-chase; attention converts into Security bullets.

Post-round review (thirty seconds)

• Did you skip a pre-round audio or map check? Fix it next queue.
• Which mid-round step failed — positioning, callouts, or target selection?
• Cross-read the Role Quick Reference for the role you played.
• If the round felt unfair due to bugs, check Updates for known issues before reporting.
